“Truth for
Truckers” *May 3, 2014* Psalm 93 “Thou
art from everlasting”
This Psalm shows forth and handily illustrates with three different elements
the eternality of God. First of all His “Throne
is established of old: Thou art from everlasting.” (v.2) The LORD Himself
is eternal. The holiness and the house of God are “O LORD, forever.” (v.5) This brief but powerful Psalm has as its
focus the eternal everlasting God.
His might, majesty and power are also emphasized in these verses: “The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the
floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The LORD on
high is mightier that the noise of many waters, yea, that the mighty waves of
the sea.”(v.3, 4).
The Word of God is confirmed, His holiness is declared to be eternal and
His house needs to be holy are all taught in the last verse of this jam-packed
Psalm. The application for us Drivers is to recognize the greatness of our God
and praise Him for His greatness, His might, His majesty and holiness which is
His very essence. It’s amazing what praising can do!
