Psalm 150-Praise ye the LORD

“Truth for Truckers” *June 30, 2014* Psalm 150 “Praise ye the LORD”

       The last and one of the shorter Psalms is the most prolific in commanding the Believer to “Praise the LORD”. Over a dozen times in six verses the word Praise appears. And, it is in this last Psalm that a list of eight musical instruments is also recorded:

1.      The Trumpet

2.      The Psaltery

3.      The Harp: Israel’s national instrument

4.      The Timbrel

5.      The Stringed Instruments

6.      The Organs

7.      The Loud Cymbals

8.      The High Sounding Cymbals

     The Psalmist lets nothing out when he closes with this statement: “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” (v.6).
